Award-winning Author Diana Gabaldon Offers Self As Prize In Unusual Fundraiser

Press Release Body = Diana Gabaldon, best-selling Outlander series author and recent winner of the Quill Award, has teamed up with the Friends of the Holbrook Public Library for a unique fund-raising event to help build a new library in rural Arizona.
Gabaldon has agreed to serve as the "prize" in the fund-raising raffle, and will have a private dinner with the grand prize winner. The grand prize raffle winner will also receive round-trip airfare to Scottsdale, Ariz. to attend the dinner, as well as use of a rental car thanks to Thrifty Car Rental and two nights at the luxurious Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale.
Raffle tickets are being sold now through Friday, Oct. 27, and are $5 each or five for $20. All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Holbrook Public Library, a non-profit organization, and will be used to build a brand new public library in Holbrook, Ariz. Gabaldon is the award-winning author of the Outlander Series and is well-known for her accessability to both fans and aspiring writers. Her most recent release, A Breath of Snow and Ashes, recently won the Quill Award by receiving the most votes from avid readers. She lives and works in Arizona and during the month of November is actively supporting several Arizona libraries.
